Do You Love ALL Your Brothers and Sisters in Christ?

History of the Love of God

If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother. I John 4:20-21

The question is…“Do you love all your brothers and sisters in Christ?” If not, you are a liar—as stated by John. Before you say a cursory…“Sure I love everyone”…think with me. Do you love ALL your brothers and sisters and all the children in the Church, or do you show favoritism? Do you hold any grudges against a brother or a sister and yet believe that you love God? Has the sun gone down and you are still irritated at a brother or sister? Have you perhaps not forgiven a member? When you are around certain people in the Church, do you have awkwardness or judgmental feelings…hurt, envy, jealousy, strife or extreme competitiveness so you tend to stay on the other side of the sanctuary? This cannot be in the True Church. It is not the “big” sins but what satan has convinced you are “the little white lies or sins” that may be small to you but are huge offenses to God.
