An Innate and Beautiful Design

Rise Above by Gwen Shamblin

Look at the animals in the wild; they are born knowing and desiring the food that they need for perfect health. The cows know to eat grass, and they know exactly how much food to eat. The birds of the air know what food they should eat, and God assigns them different menus. For example, the robin is drawn to worms, while the mockingbird likes grasshoppers. The woodpecker is programmed by God to eat bugs out of the tree. None of these birds go to bed at night and get horizontal, saying, I really overdid it on the worms today. No. They have no greed or fear that God will not feed them the next day, so they do not overeat. Ants are taught by God to store up food for the winter, but have you ever seen an obese ant? The answer is, of course, no!
