The word “authority” has evolved to mean “evil,” but it is beautiful to be under God. King David had a good idea; he had it right when he said it is like honey from the honeycomb [Psalm 19:10]. God’s authority and commands are sweet. Have you had some honey today? The commands and lead of God are like sweet kisses on the cheek! When I am teaching my granddaughter Gracie and the other children, I lean down and whisper in their ears, and they love it! It is a different kind of authority; it is the right kind of authority. Children do not run away from godly authority.
